The basic procedures we use to keep your teeth free from decay and to provide you with a complete smile are classified as “restorative dentistry.”
Restorative dentistry at Schroeder & Schroeder Dentistry includes all the ways we restore your smile to health and completeness. In other words, it is the repair of decayed or damaged teeth and all our methods of replacing any teeth you might be missing.
With every visit to our office, you will experience the positive, welcoming atmosphere we create to make your visits as enjoyable as possible. We want you to feel like family when you are here so we treat you with warmth, honesty, and professionalism. Please let us know how we can help improve your dental health with our restorative dentistry.
Here are the restorative dentistry services you will receive at Schroeder & Schroeder Dentistry:
These long-lasting porcelain restorations protect and preserve injured teeth or replace teeth that have been lost. An injured or deeply infected tooth often requires a root canal to preserve it, after which we recommend a strong white crown to extend its life for decades. A fractured tooth can be likewise saved. When one or two teeth in a row are missing, a dental bridge will fill this gap. To create a bridge, the teeth on either side of the gap are prepared for crowns. Then the bridge, consisting of two crowns with replacement teeth in between, is secured over the prepared teeth. Once again, the smile is complete.
White fillings are more aesthetic, require less drilling, and bond to teeth better than metal fillings.
A tooth that needs a large repair can be strengthened with a lab-created inlay or onlay instead of a filling. These durable porcelain repairs correct decayed or fractured teeth.
Dental implants are permanent, fixed restorations that feel and look just like your natural teeth. To create an implant, a white crown is attached to a titanium post which acts as the root for the new tooth.
A deeply decayed or injured tooth can be preserved using root canal therapy that cleans out infected soft tissue inside the tooth.
If a tooth can’t be saved, an extraction prepares you for a replacement tooth.
For patients who have lost most of their teeth, we are proud to provide dentures that are both comfortable and attractive.
